Climate Resilient Agriculture
We empower farmers to thrive amidst climate challenges through innovative, regenerative farming practices. In Narmada, our REEL Regenerative Cotton Training Program with Cotton Connect trained 300 farmers in sustainable cotton farming, emphasizing soil health, biodiversity, and water efficiency. Over 5,007 demonstrations (2022–2025) on crops like gram, cumin, and castor introduced bio-inputs, nano fertilizers, and solar light traps, reducing chemical dependency by up to 20%. The Joognu Learning Centre in Shankheshwar, Patan, serves as a knowledge hub, educating farmers and students on sustainable agriculture. Our Women Climate Change Ambassadors initiative trained 15 women in Narmada, who cascaded knowledge to 450 farmers, fostering climate-smart practices. By integrating technology like drone sprays and mini weather stations, we drive resilience and innovation in rural farming communities.
Water and Soil Conservation
Water and Soil Conservation Vasundhara Foundation champions innovative water and soil conservation to build ecological resilience in Gujarat’s arid landscapes. Our water budgeting initiative, implemented in 70 villages across Patan and Rajkot, engages PRIs and communities to optimize water use, with data creatively displayed as wall paintings for awareness. We have renovated and constructed check dams in Patan to recharge groundwater, enabling sustainable agriculture in water-scarce regions. Soil health is enhanced through testing 2,163 samples (2022–2025) and promoting organic manure, bio-fortified seeds, and intercropping. Our tree plantation drives, planting 29,963 trees with community ownership, combat desertification while fostering biodiversity. Aligned with Jal Shakti Abhiyan, our efforts integrate traditional knowledge with modern techniques, ensuring long-term environmental sustainability and community-led stewardship.

Eduaction
Education is our catalyst for empowering the next generation, particularly girls. Our STEM for Girls program (2019–2022), supported by QUEST Alliance and IBM CSR, engaged 7,000 students across 24 schools in five districts, inspiring girls to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. We offer life skills training to nurture leadership, creativity, and problem-solving among youth. In 2025, our Child Development Centre in Narmada, supported by Cotton Connect, provides recreational classes, yoga, storytelling, and health checkups to 14 children of ginning mill workers, reducing child labor and fostering holistic growth. By blending experiential learning with community engagement, we create pathways for inclusive education and empowerment.
Community Empowerment
Community EmpowermentWe strengthen rural institutions to drive sustainable, community-led development. From 2022–2025, we trained 398 Self-Help Groups (SHGs), 107 Gram Panchayats, and 13 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in Patan and Rajkot, equipping them with skills in governance, financial linkages, and climate resilience. Our financial inclusion efforts linked 398 SHGs to banks, unlocking economic opportunities. Mass awareness campaigns in 249 villages used innovative tools like puppet shows, street plays, and mobile loudspeakers to promote nutrition, climate change awareness, and government schemes. By fostering participatory planning through Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDPs), we empower communities to take ownership of their development, ensuring inclusivity and sustainability.

Livelihood
Our livelihood programs ignite economic resilience through innovative opportunities. We supported 875 farmers (2019–2025), including 500 in Patan (2025) with Azim Premji Foundation, through sustainable agriculture and entrepreneurial ventures. Income-generation activities empowered 2,258 individuals and 3,733 women (2022–2025) in dairy, commercial vegetable cultivation, and imitation jewelry. We organized 18 job fairs, securing employment for 95 individuals at a minimum salary of ₹10,000/month, and trained 300 masons with professional skills and toolkits. By facilitating access to social security schemes like E-shram and Ayushman cards for 4,648 individuals, we foster financial independence and dignity for rural communities.
Health
We address rural health challenges with innovative, community-centric solutions. Our Menstrual Health Management (MHM) program provided sanitary napkins and incinerators to over 2,000 schoolgirls, promoting safe hygiene and reducing health risks. In 2025, we organized cancer awareness and screening camps in Narmada’s Vyadhar, Jetpur, and Katkoi villages, screening 126 women for breast cancer with Ashirvad Foundation’s support, using handheld devices for early detection. Health camps with the Indian Red Cross Society educated women on cervical cancer and general health, empowering them with preventive knowledge. By integrating awareness with actionable healthcare access, we break cultural stigmas and foster healthier rural communities.
